Red Carpet Dress Trends: 2013 Academy Awards

When it comes to Hollywood glamour, the Oscars never disappoints, from glittery, slinky dresses to dramatic haute-couture, the 85th Academy Awards is where it’s at. With so many red carpet dresses sashaying across, it’s a good opportunity to see some of the upcoming season’s hottest trends. Ladies in Pale and Pink Gowns

Shades of pink are perfect for this spring, and it dominated the Oscars red carpet with Anne Hathaway donning a pale pink silk Prada gown. Best actress winner Jennifer Lawrence looked beautiful in that blush pink Dior dress too. Other starlets in pink included Maria Menounos and Fan Bing Bing etc.

Strapless Silhouette

The biggest fashion trend of the night was donning gowns in strapless silhouette. Jennifer Garner look elegant in a deep purple strapless dress and Giuliana Rancic in a black strapless dress, while the fabulous Jennifer Aniston glowed in a different color one.

Blue Glamour

Hitting the 2013 SAG red carpet, blue seems continuing its trendy glamour on Oscar night. Nancy O’Dell showed her leg by wearing a navy blue slit dress, while Robin Roberts who returned to hosting on the red carpet look gorgeous in a royal blue velvet halter gown.

Shimmery Sequins

The most enviable celebrity dresseson Oscar night were shimmery sequins. Naomi Watts sported the look with her Armani Pervi asymmetrical sequined gown. It was a very tricky dress to wear, but she wore it beautifully. Others like Halle Berry and Lara Spencer also dressed glittering for the event.
